History
Founded in 1993
Take a walk through the history of our family business. There's much to remember. From the challenging beginnings...
1993
Jaroslav Uchytil establishes the family business with his son Jaroslav.
The first bus, a predecessor to Karosa - a beautiful round ŠD11, known as "Ešdéčko." This bus, manufactured in 1973, was beautiful but prone to breakdowns. The early years often saw uncertain returns home :-)
1994
We acquired our first Karosa, manufactured in 1982, a model LC 734, but with coach seats. Known as the "Four."
With this bus, we ventured abroad for the first time; the photo is from a trip to Medjugorje for a pilgrimage with believers.
1995
Another Karosa, this time the LC 735 model, coach version with elevated luggage compartments. Known as the "Five."
The photo is from a trip to Austria. Notice that there are no seats at the back of the bus—that's where we transported bicycles!
A total of 3 buses, with air conditioning still far in the future; the first bus with a turbocharged engine is on the horizon. :-)
1993-1995
1996
Karosa LC735, manufactured in 1986. Bought in ČSAD Tábor. Known as the "Two."
The first bus with a turbocharged engine and a quiet rear axle, which made traveling much more comfortable. It met the Euro 0 emission standard; in winter, the cold engine would smoke out the entire village, but who cared back then...
This bus was already equipped with a refrigerator and a video system—progress! :-)
The photo is from 2001 in Athens; the bus even made it to Crete. The drivers, Pavel and Tom, are seen in regulation shorts.
1999
Karosa LC 735, manufactured in 1989. Known as the "Green."
In 1998, we purchased another Karosa, known as the "Three," and by 1999, after repairs and repainting, we had four identical Karosas.
We love traveling...
1996-2002
2002 - 2008
Karosa LC 735, manufactured in 1986.
The last boxy Karosa. Euro 0. Alloy wheels, ventilation above passengers from the ŠD model. It traveled all the way to the Lofoten Islands and Narvik in Norway, from where these photos are taken.
2003 - 2009
Oasa HD12, manufactured in 1991.
The first true touring coach, equipped with air conditioning. Although its appearance wasn't entirely modern, it met the Euro 2 standard. Additionally, it was very comfortable and had a huge luggage compartment. The photos are from Scotland, where we traveled with a group of cyclists in 2004.
2005 - 2010
Renault Master, manufactured in 1997.
The first minibus, with up to 22 seats. We used this minibus for a dedicated route, transporting children to school. We had two similar Renaults; the second one was even from 1986. :-)
2006 - 2011
Bova FHD, r. v. 1992.
The first Bova, a foreign-made coach. It already came with standard features like a restroom, which is now a common feature. With Euro 0 emissions and high mileage, the bus had undergone exterior repairs by the time the photo was taken; we acquired it in silver.
2007 - 2012
Karosa LC956, manufactured in 2002
The last Karosa in the company. With a touch of nostalgia... it was a very successful bus that traveled everywhere, was economical, and reliable.
2010 - Establishment of a new company, UCHYTILCZ, s.r.o. Partners Pavel, Tomáš a Jan.
2008 - 2018, 2010-2014
Iveco Daily Stratos (blue), manufactured in 2002,
Iveco Daily Mave (silver), manufactured in 2001.
Two very respectable minibuses, which we fondly remember, traveled all across Europe.
2009 - 2017
Bova FHD, manufactured in 2002, Goldy
The first top-of-the-line bus in terms of both comfort and equipment. We bought it when it was 7 years old, but it had been lightly used. We drove it for over 750,000 km.
2011 - 2014
Bova Magiq FHD.
The first three-axle bus. It was very pleasant to drive, but we sold it relatively quickly because it did not meet the Euro 4 standard, which was necessary for trips to London.
